Summary: This report was an attempt to do an analytical study of the vegetable seeds industry in India. Most of the information has been collected from primary sources. The authors have tried not to merely give a reproduction of factual information about the industry structure and its various participant. They have gone deep into the issues, such as the rivalry among the existing competitors, the threat of new entry, the bargaining power of the suppliers, the bargaining power of the buyers, the threat of substitutes. The authors have tried to see how each of these forces will affect the industry as a whole and also the existing competitors.
