The sun’s out on a warm winter morning at Reddit, Inc’s office in San Francisco, California. Harold Klaje, the newly appointed Chief Revenue Officer has a long day of meetings ahead of him. He had to meet the CEO Steve Huffman, COO Jen Wong and CFO Drew Vollero. The discussions of the day will focus on the changes to Reddit’s revenue model to match the pace of growth that the company was achieving in the 2021 [1]. Most media companies have struggled recently as advertisers have cut back. Many companies have had to lay off staff. Reddit has changed its advertising team and increased its advertising offerings while expanding its sales team globally. Reddit has been a more minor player in the ad revenue space compared to sites with similar traffic and is now trying to catch up a er the company laid out plans to go public soon.
