The last decade has seen the transformation of global carpet crafting with the advent of new technologies, emphasising its impact on production and the value chain. These advancements have driven countries like Belgium and Turkey to export their carpets internationally. Indian carpet making is a traditional industry with society and art deeply influencing the practices. In this paper, we discuss potential technology integrations across various stages of production into hand-woven carpets, citing examples like Jaipur Rugs to expand globally.
