Feminist writing in post- colonial society deals with problems that arise from women's roles and status in the former colonial periods. This leads to a concentration on certain themes: the role of women in the necessity to retrieve the positive contribution of neglected women writers in colonial societies. It will also centre on problems facing women writers in third world countries who are doubly colonized by gender and race.
