Summary: A conference on marketing in emerging economics, for the fourth time, will be organised from January 7-9, 2015 at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A). The conference will be part of a series of events which the institute is conducting as a part of IIMA's 50th year celebrations. According to coordinating committee members of the conference, Prof Anand Kumar Jaiswal, Prof Arindam Banerjee Prof Arvind Sahay Prof Dheeraj Sharma and Prof Piyush Kumar Sinha, the conference has become a platform to propagate research pertaining to marketing in emerging economics. The conference has a 25% acceptance rate and is believed to be amongst one of the world's best conferences. Efforts are also being made to compile bibliography of research on marketing in emerging economies and the first such bibliography and the methodology adopted in preparing the same will be part of the conference. Also, there has been an exponential increase in the number of abstract submissions since three conferences. This year, IIMA has received 373 abstracts as against 441 in 2010, 257 in 2009, 206 in 2007 and 107 in 2005.
