TPM GatiShakti National Master Plan was launched in 2021 signalling the beginning of a fundamental transformation for India’s transportation. The plan aims to break the inter-ministerial co-ordination issues and facilitate cooperation and fasttrack implementation of projects. With the launch of various government policies such as Viksit Bharat, Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan, Make in India campaign, etc, targeted to make India a 5 trillion USD economy, transportation and logistics play a key role in making this target a reality. Hence, this report focuses on analysing the implications of PM GatiShakti Plan on India’s transportation especially with special emphasis on railways and ports.
