The rental service model is a retailing strategy that offers much value to new age customers. Rental services give additional flexibility to customers to consume goods or services for a planned short time period without making longterm ownership obligations. Rental service provider takes care of maintenance and servicing of products, so customers are free from the inconveniences of ownership. As a result, the product or service is always in top shape, and the customer experiences consistent service quality. Through rental services, consumer also get access to a broader range of goods and services to meet their diverse needs. Customers who can’t afford to use and experience luxury products as an owner, would particularly benefit from renting. Customers can use premium goods or services without paying the total selling price.
